17 days

It has been 17 days since I last wrote. Dave and I decided to take the month of December off from planning our wedding. There are so many other things to do during this month and we cherish the fact we are lucky enough to actually stop planning for 30 days!

That being said, there isn't a lot to update you on. We did register for some of our wedding presents at the Bay. We still have to go back as there were many things that did not find their way onto the list. Other than that, we have used December to get ready for Christmas, which is fast approching.

With 259 days left until the big day...I will leave you and be back writing in 2007!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all!

Cheers,

MS

275 Days!

Yesterday was a busy day. Both Dave and I took the day off and spent it together. We went to see our jeweler, Ian Davidson, of Hunter Davidson, and picked out our wedding bands. They are amazing. I love mine as it has diamonds all the way around the ring and they are set off centre so that the diamonds are not covered up by the diamond in my engagement ring...very well thought out by Ian. Dave's...well what can I say...he actually swore when he put it on! It is an amazingly wide, 18 karat yellow gold ring that suits his hand so well. It is definitely one of those wedding bands that will be noticed and that isn't exactly the same as mine, yet they have similar aspects to them that don't make them look completely different.

We also met with our marriage commissioner last night, Soleiha Mahrcell, and I was blown away! She is so amazing and the way the ceremony unfolds will be spectacular. The personalization and rituals included will make the day that much more special and I believe our guests will love every minute of it. While Soleiha was going through the events of the ceremony and some of the passages she will read (she has them memorized actually) made me cry. I actually had tears welling up in my eyes as I was sitting in her living room. I can't imagine what I will be like when it is all happening for real.

She will be perfect for what we are looking for in a ceremony and Dave and I agreed that we believe this will be one of the most touching, emotional ceremonies we have ever attended. My prediction...there will not be a dry eye in the house.

Cheers,

MS
